2005

Theme

The theme of CBS Case Competition 2005 was 'Market Creation'. The rationale behind the choice of 'Market Creation' has to be seen in the light of a business world of still increasing competition where firms must actively create their own business opportunities, thus calling for new creative approaches.  The theme was officially launched on November 25th 2004 at a CBS Case Competition event held at financial daily Børsens premises. Here, prominent speakers from Carlsberg, the CBS Board and architectural company PLOT gave their views on the theme 'Market Creation'.

Case

The case company in 2005 was the the global power giant Schneider Electric. Schneider Electric’s headquarter is located in Paris and the company currently employs more than 74.000 people in 130 countries. Schneider Electric had high expectations to the case solutions and the company looked forward to witness the students’ presentations and how their solutions differ. “We hope that these presentations will contribute with some ideas and solutions which are applicable to our everyday business - solutions necessary to design a comprehensive business strategy for the launch of the IHC within the SNB region”, stated Communication Manager Christian Pedersen.
