The Program

You are facing 24 hours (or more) of exploring your talent and a fun and challenging learning experience whether you compete as an individual or in a team of up till four fellow students. Mix and match study programmes as you like and what you think can give you an competitive advantage.

The program is as follows.

WEDNESDAY, 3 MARCH

10:00 - CASE RELEASE

13:00-15:00 - FACULTY ADVISOR HELPDESK

THURSDAY, 4 MARCH

10:00 - CASE SOLUTION HAND-IN.
Send us your solution at bte@casecompetition.com on a maximum of 10 PowerPoint slides + 1/2 page of executive summary.

15:00 - THE FIVE FINALISTS ARE REVEALED.
You will be notified immediately. You are allowed to continue working on your solution when preparing for the presentation the following day.

FRIDAY, 5 MARCH

09:00 - THE FIVE FINALISTS WILL PRESENT THEIR SOLUTIONS TO THE PANEL OF JUDGES.
Presentations will be oral and must be at a maximum of 10 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A. You are responsible of all remedies needed for your presentation; this being laptop, print outs, flip-overs etc. For the record the Finals at Beat the Elite is a closed event; yet, if participants do wish a very limited number of seats are available for accompanying guests.  

Two executive level management representatives from the given case company and consultants from one of the world's leading management consulting companies - and CBS Case Competition's Preferred Partner - McKinsey & Co. will make up the Panel of Judges.

14:00 - THE WINNER OF BEAT the ELITE 2010 WILL BE ANNOUNCED.
Stand by for applause as great prizes will be handed over to the winners of Beat the Elite prior to the Finals in the main competition; CBS Case Competition, in the key auditorium at CBS campus (BG Fonden Auditorium, SPs01) seating 500 spectators.

TRANSPORT SERVICES:
For students coming from outside the greater area of Copenhagen travel expenses via train will be taken care of, courtesy of DSB - supporter of CBS Case Competition. Finalists from Aalborg University will be provided complimentary transport by air - made available thanks to Studentersamfundet and the President of Aalborg University.

FACULTY ADVISOR HELPDESK:
Further, we have a Faculty Advisor Helpdesk. During this timeslot you are able to receive advise on case solving, guidelines, tips and general questions on the given case. This service is offered by Faculty Advisors; who is representatives from the foreign universities and business schools competing in the main competition.
