NEWS: A busy day for the participants….

Tuesday the 24th of February

Today was a busy day for the case participants as the program was packed with different activities. The morning began with a presentation by two key note speakers, McKinsey & Company as well as Morten Wagner, owner of Freeway.dk. Later the participants got a guided tour through Copenhagen explaining the old history of the city.

In the afternoon the group drawing took place. For the preliminary rounds, the participating teams are competing in three groups, were one from each group is chosen to go on to the finals on the Friday afternoon. The three groups were divided into the following:

Group 1: Universidad de Navarra, Thammasat University, Escola de Administração de Empresas de São Paulo and Copenhagen Business School.

Group 2: National University of Singapore Business School, University of Florida, University of Southern California, and University of California, Berkeley

Group 3: Tsinghua University, The University of Auckland, The University of Manchester (United Kingdom), and McGill University

In the afternoon it was time to find the dance shoes as the afternoon program included dance lessons in Les Lancers. For many this was a completely new dance, however everyone was in a high spirit and lots of laughter was shared.  Rumours were spread that the Lancers was to be danced at the award banquet on Friday, so many carefully listened and did their best in learning the steps.

At the campus, Morten Wagner, the man behind Dating.dk and Freeway did an inspired presentation about the development of this company. Afterwards, the CEO of Irma, Alfred Josefsen, presented the strategy behind Irma's success.

Tomorrow is the first day of the competition, where the case company is revealed and the case solving begins…
